Welcome to HobbsMate, LLC (“HobbsMate,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms govern your use of HobbsMate.com (including owner-published aircraft listings at hobbsmate.com/listings), related subdomains such as app.hobbsmate.com and feedback.hobbsmate.com, and HobbsMate software and services offered through those sites. By using HobbsMate, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Ownership and Rights

All platform content, software, and design elements are the intellectual property of HobbsMate, LLC. Users may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without prior written consent.

You retain rights in your personal information and the content you submit. By using HobbsMate, you grant HobbsMate, LLC a license to store, process, display, aggregate, and anonymize that content as needed to operate the platform and related services, including possible future authorized aircraft-history transfer or unlock features described in our Privacy Policy.

Aircraft-associated submissions you create or upload—such as flights, maintenance records, shared documents, and aircraft-linked expenses—become part of that aircraft's operational history. HobbsMate hosts and manages this record for the aircraft community and product continuity.

2. Data Use

By using HobbsMate, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Aircraft-related data may be aggregated and anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy, including possible future aggregate benchmarks across HobbsMate aircraft or partner-facing insights. None of those uses are live as standalone offerings today.

Upon verified account deletion:

  • Personal and account-scoped data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Private aircraft documents you uploaded are deleted, including associated files in storage.
  • Non-private aircraft records remain on the aircraft's operational history; personally identifiable attribution may be replaced with a neutral label (for example, “Past Member”).

3. Pilot in Command (PIC) Responsibility

All insights, recommendations, and automation provided by HobbsMate are advisory only.

Use of HobbsMate does not relieve the Pilot in Command (PIC) of their legal duty to:

  • Verify aircraft airworthiness,
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance requirements, and
  • Determine safe operation of the aircraft.

HobbsMate, LLC assumes no responsibility or liability for flight safety, operational decisions, or regulatory compliance.

4. Public Aircraft Listings

HobbsMate may display owner-published aircraft listings (such as pages at hobbsmate.com/listings). Sellers originate all descriptions, summaries, numerical fields, HobbsMate excerpts they choose to surface, imagery, attachments, seller statements, and prices. HobbsMate, LLC operates the listing software only—we do not independently verify listing accuracy, certify airworthiness, inspect aircraft for sale, hold escrow, negotiate or complete purchases between parties, insure transactions, appraise aircraft, clear title or liens, act as broker or dealer, or legal-screen listing content.

Listings are informational only. HobbsMate® is not responsible for, does not endorse, and does not condone statements, omissions, or statistics shown on any listing or arising from sellers' HobbsMate account inputs. Buyers and sellers deal directly with one another; HobbsMate is not a party to those dealings. Inquiry messages sent through HobbsMate are forwarded to sellers as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • Access or attempt to access the system without authorization.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or scrape data.
  • Engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful use of the platform.
  • Violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
  • Use organization messaging (Chat) to harass, threaten, defame, spam, or share illegal content; to exfiltrate confidential organization or aircraft data without authorization; or to impersonate other members or HobbsMate staff.

Violation may result in suspension or termination of access.

5A. Organization Messaging (Chat)

HobbsMate may provide in-product messaging for clubs, flight schools, and corporate flight departments (“Organization Chat”). Organization Chat is a member-facing collaboration feature between people in the same organization. It is separate from HobbsMate customer Support.

Your content. You retain rights in messages and attachments you post, and you grant HobbsMate a limited license to host, transmit, store, display, and moderate that content as needed to operate Organization Chat and related services.

Visibility. Messages are visible to other organization members according to channel rules (for example all-member rooms, chairs/department-admin rooms, aircraft rooms, invite-only custom rooms, or 1:1 direct messages when enabled). Organization operators (such as board members, chairs, or corporate department admins) may create or archive custom channels, change messaging settings, and soft-delete messages in rooms they can access. Members may report messages to those operators for review within the organization.

Not monitored by default. HobbsMate does not continuously monitor Organization Chat. We may access message content when reasonably necessary for security, abuse investigation, legal process, or to provide Support when you escalate an issue. Organization operators—not HobbsMate—are responsible for day-to-day moderation within their organization.

No endorsement. HobbsMate does not endorse member statements in Organization Chat and is not a party to disputes between members. You remain responsible for what you post and for complying with your organization's policies and applicable law.

Limits. We may impose rate, storage, channel, or retention limits to protect service reliability. Soft-deleted messages may remain in systems for a limited period for integrity and audit before permanent deletion (including attachments) after the retention window.

6. Availability and Service Levels

HobbsMate is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without service-level guarantees. Downtime and maintenance may occur without notice.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

Payments are managed through a secure third-party processor. HobbsMate, LLC does not directly store payment information.

Plan changes, billing questions, and cancellations can be handled through in-app settings or by contacting support@hobbsmate.com.

8. Disclaimers

  • HobbsMate is a data and analytics platform, not a certified maintenance or flight training service.
  • HobbsMate does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of seller-published content on public aircraft listing pages; see Section 4 (Public Aircraft Listings).
  • Users remain solely responsible for validating any data or recommendations before flight or maintenance actions.

9. Limitation of Liability

HobbsMate, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service or reliance on its data.

10. Provider Information

HobbsMate utilizes trusted third-party services for critical functionality such as authentication, payments, analytics, and AI processing.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Major changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflicts of law.
